Hans Dörner

Hans Dörner wurde 1940 geboren. Er absolvierte ein Musikstudium in Köln und Detmold in den Fächern Posaune und Klavier. Als Soloposaunist arbeitete er 1967 im Orchester des Landestheaters Detmold, 1968/69 im Sinfonieorchester Osnabrück und von 1970 bis 1996 im Philharmonischen Orchester Dortmund. Seit 1986 ist er Lehrbeauftragter an der Musikhochschule Köln, Abt. Wuppertal. Neben Lied- und Chorkompositionen verfasste Hans Dörner verschiedenste Instrumentalwerke (Kammermusik, Blechbläser, Blasorchester) sowie Geistliche Musik.

Hans Dörner was born in 1940. He studied Trombone and Piano in Cologne and Detmold. He works as a solo trombonist in 1967 in the orchestra of the provincial theatre in Detmold, from 1968 to 1969 in the symphonic orchestra of Osnabrück, and from 1970 to 1996 in the Philharmonic Orchestra Dortmund. Since 1986 he is teacher at the college of music in Cologne (dept. Wuppertal). Hans Dörner composed several church music, vocal, and choral works as well as instrumental works for chamber music ensembles, brass ensembles, and concert band.
