Jean Gauffriau
Jean Gauffriau, der im Jahre 1931 in Paris geboren wurde, bezeichnet
sich selbst als Autodidakt. Sein Werk umfasst mehrere Chor-,
Orchester- und Kammermusikwerke, sowie zwei kleine Singspiele
für Kinder: "Le vilain petit canard" nach Andersen und "Les
trois plumes" nach Grimm.
Gauffriau erhielt mehrere Preise für seine Kompositionen.
1982 & 1986: Komposition für Blasorchester
1985: Stipendium der Region Loire zur Förderung kreativen Schaffens
1992 & 1997: Komposition für Chor
Bis vor kurzem war Jean Gauffriau Professor an der staatlichen
Musikschule Saint Nazaire und gleichzeitig pädagogischer Berater
für muskalische Erziehung.
Jean Gauffriau, born in Paris in 1931, describes himself as
self taught. His oEuvre includes various choral, orchestral
and chamber music works, as well as two miniature opera cantatas
for children: "Le vilain petit canard" according to Andersen, and
"Les trois plumes" accorcing to Grimm.
He has been awarded several prizes for his compositions.

1985: Bursary from the Loire Region to encourage creativity
1992 & 1997: Composition for choir
Until recently he combined the functions of Professor at the
State School of Music at Saint Nazaire and Stage pedagogic
Adviser on Musical Education.
